Umahi sends more commissioner nominees to Ebonyi Assembly
Ebonyi State governor David Umahi has sent the names of seven more commissioner nominees to the state House of Assembly for screening and possible confirmation.
With the latest list, the governor has now sent 23 nominees to the assembly, having sent 16 earlier.
The development was made public in a statement this weekend signed by Okene Oketa, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the House, Francis Ogbinna Nwifuru.

The state assembly has therefore directed the nominees to submit their Curriculum Vitae (CV), photocopies of their relevant credentials and tax clearance certificates with evidence of payments of their property taxes, in 30 file copies to the office of the Clerk of the House not later than Monday 29 July, 2019.
Those who made the second batch nominee list are a former Commissioner for Information and State Orientation in the state, Kenneth Uhuo; the immediate past commissioner for Environment, Chief Donatus Odii Njoku; Chief Sunday Inyima.
Others are Engr Ude Ogbonnya, Comrade Jonah Egba, Dr. Odoh Stephen and Mrs.Uchechi Okah.
The screening of the nominees is meant to commence from Tuesday, July 30, at Ebonyi State House of Assembly.
