Uncertainty over claims of Kwankwaso dumping APC

Rumours that Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) may not be true after all, if claims made by the Organizing Secretary of the party in Kano State is to be believed.

Early Tuesday, reports had filtered in that the former governor and leader of the Kwankwasiya movement had made a switch to People’s Democratic Party (PDP), allegedly with ten other law makers from the state.

Speaking later on Tuesday, however, Suraju Kwankwaso, who is APC’s Organizing Secretary in Kano State was quoted as saying that the rumours making the rounds were unfounded.

”As I speak to you, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has been and still an authentic member of the All Progressive Party,” he said. He hinted that the party had slated an emergency meeting to deal with the situation.

The APC remains factionalized in Kano where the incumbent governor, Umar Ganduje has been pitched against Kwankwaso over control of the party machinery.

While Kano APC reaches out to deal with the issues at hand, speculations continue to mount over Kwankwaso’s quiet plans to take a shot at the presidency in 2019. Political watchers contend that, given strong opposition within the APC, the only viable option open to him would be a return to PDP, a party he helped to nurture.

The reality will soon be clear to us by 2018 ,though I know kwankwaso is still sickly craving to be Nigerian president but it’s not for people like him

Everyone is looking for greener pasture, if Kwankwaso leaves APC for PDP, I won’t fault him too much, the APC is gradually looking uncertain against 2019 and Kwankwaso have to protect his personal mandate with a party that has brighter future.

There’s nothing left in APC to stay with, the party is a great disappointment. More politicians will soon leave the party before 2019 and more will leave after they loose out in 2019

You’ll be put to shame, you think APC is like PDP that has no bearing at all? Keep watching how the cards will play out in 2019.
