Unforgiving fans crash sale of Dr Dre’s album

Dr Dre believed he did the right thing apologising for hurting women in the past, but the public is not forgiving him. His album sale has plummeted since the public apology was made.
Just a day after 50-year-old Dre made his announcement following the success of his biopic, Straight Outta Compton, the second week sales number for his highly anticipated new album dropped 84%.
Dre’s former girlfriend Michel’l, an R&B singer and a hip-hop journalist Dee Barnes, had earlier in an interview spoken about the abuse they suffered in the past and how social media had helped them talk about it and spread their stories.

The interview must have prompted Dr Dre to make his public apology: “I apologize to the women I’ve hurt. I deeply regret what I did and know that it has forever impacted all of our lives”, he said.
Apple, where Dre, now works as a top consultant, also issued a statement: “Dre has apologized for the mistakes he’s made in the past and he’s said that he’s not the same person that he was 25 years ago. We believe his sincerity and after working with him for a year and a half, we have every reason to believe that he has changed.”
Well, his fans are saying it is not over and are paying him back by not buying his first album in 15 years.
