A staff of the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti (EKSU), Noel Davis had been arrested by police operatives in the state for allegedly raping and impregnating his 12 years old daughter.

His arrested came on Tuesday when his daughter unravelled the situation to her teacher after a sex education class.

Following this, police operatives swung into action to arrest the suspect who is a Sierra Leonean citizen.

His arrest was ordered by the chairperson of Federation of Women Lawyer (FIDA), Mrs Seyi Ojo who was contacted by the school management.

Mrs Ojo who was furious over the incident described the act as “despicable and intolerable”. She also urged the police to commence immediate investigation and prosecution of the suspect.

Meanwhile, the suspect who claimed to be a staff of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, had confessed to the crime.

According to him, the act was done out of foolishness.

He however pleaded for mercy, saying his wife had sometimes known about the act, but it was settled amicably within the family.

It was gathered that the victim said his father “had been having canal knowledge of her for over a year.”

She was later taken to a hospital for immediate medical attention when she was discovered to be bleeding.
