Edo guber hopeful Ize-Iyamu challenges Oshiomhole to account for N30bn

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the September 10 governorship election in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has said he would make the entire state his constituency unlike the the current Governor, Adams Oshiomhole.

Ize-Iyamu stated this while addressing traditional rulers from Edo South senatorial district at Egbaen near Benin, the state capital, accusing Oshiomhole of focusing on his village to the detriment of other areas of the state.

The PDP candidate also accused Oshiomhole of pushing traditional rulers and other critical stakeholder to the background in the governance of the state.

According to him, the decision of the governor to use state funds to build the newly established Edo University in his hometown, Iyamoh, along with a teaching hospital and school of nursing while at the same time neglecting the Ambrose Alli University, the State College of Education, Ekiadolor, for which he said the governor appointed a Vice-Chancellor and a governing council without any financial allocation, shows his bias against other areas of the state.
