Interview with investigators unlikely as there was no meeting with Russia, Trump says

In an obvious show of force over the continued missile activities of North Korea, led by Kim Jong Un, the US military has flown two strategic bombers over the Korean peninsula.

According to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff in a statement on Wednesday, the two U.S. Air Force B-1B bombers were joined by two F-15K fighters from the South Korean military after leaving their base in Guam.

The statement by South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff also revealed that the two bombers carried out air-to-ground missile drills in waters off the east coast of South Korea, then flew over the South to waters between it and China to repeat the drill.

Meanwhile, in a latest sign of discord, US President Donald Trump has challenged his Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, to an IQ test.

When asked during an interview about reports that Mr Tillerson had called him a moron, Trump replied thus; “I think it’s fake news,” Mr Trump told Forbes, “but if he did that, I guess we’ll have to compare IQ tests. And I can tell you who is going to win.”

However, Trump said he still had confidence in the secretary of state.

“I did not undercut anybody,” he also told reporters. “I don’t believe in undercutting people.”

Asked about Mr Trump’s IQ test challenge, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told the daily news briefing: “It was a joke. You should get a sense of humour.”
