US Intelligence receives info confirming death of Osama bin Laden’s son Hamza

The death of Hamza, son of al-Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden has been revealed by three US officials who confirmed his demise to a TV station.

On Wednesday, NBC reported that three US officials had confirmed they had information of Hamza bin Laden’s death.

However, the officials gave no details of the date or place, and did not indicate if they had confirmed the information.

Similarly, the New York Times newspaper also reported that Hamzat’s extermination happened two years ago and the US had a role in the operation that led to his death.

Recall last February that the US government put a $1m bounty on Hamza’s head, saying the man dubbed the “crown prince of jihad” was “emerging as a leader in the al-Qaeda franchise.”
