US planning to blame Tehran for horrors its clients unleashed across Mid-east, Iran says

The United States is being accused by Iran of planning to blame Tehran for ‘horrors American clients have unleashed’ across Mideast.

According to a claim by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, US President Donald Trump is planning to “abuse” the presidency of the UN Security Council to criticise Tehran, Washington’s political nemesis.

Zarif said the US leader “plans to abuse presidency of SC [Security Council] to divert a session – item devoted to Palestine for 70 yrs – to blame Iran for horrors US clients have unleashed across ME [Middle East],” Zarif wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.

He also wrote the hashtag and word #chutzpah to suggest Trump’s audacity.

Zaif’s comments are coming after Iran announced that it is planning to increase its missile capacity and acquire modern fighter jets and submarines.

According to Mohammad Ahadi, Iran’s deputy defence minister for international affairs, the move is part of efforts to expand its defence capabilities.

Ahadi made the announcement in a speech to a group of foreign military attaches, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported on Saturday.
