US Republican finance chair quits over s3xual harassment allegations

Steve Wynn, the finance chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC) has quit his role following allegations of s3xual harassment leveled against him.

Reports say the 76-year-old billionaire and casino mogul stepped down after a Wall Street Journal report on Friday alleged that he harassed massage therapists and forced one staff member to have s3x with him.

However, Mr Wynn has denied any wrongdoing, calling the stories “preposterous” and also blamed his ex-wife, whom he is fighting in court, for the “slander”.

“The instigation of these accusations is the continued work of my ex-wife Elaine Wynn, with whom I am involved in a terrible and nasty lawsuit,” the billionaire said in a statement that his public relations team sent to the BBC on Friday.

My Wynn’s resignation has been accepted by the RNC through its chair Ronna McDaniel who told US media she had accepted his resignation.
