USA 2024: Trump claims victory over Harris, addresses supporters

Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, has declared himself winner of the USA presidential election over Democratic candidate and vice president Kamala Harris.

Trump declared his victory while addressing his jubilant supporters in Florida on Wednesday, as results put him on the verge of beating Harris to stage a comeback to the White House.

Pledging to heal the country, Trump said:

“We are going to help our country heal. It’s a political victory that our country has never seen before.

“America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate,” he said to cheering crowds.

US networks have already called the swing states of Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina for the 78-year-old Trump, and he led the Democratic vice president in the others although they have not been called yet.
