2019: ‘Don’t set Nigeria ablaze,’ Buhari calls for peaceful campaigns

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday said his ministers should continue working until Tuesday May 28, when they would hand over their schedules to the permanent secretaries in their various ministries.

There were expectations that President Buhari will dissolve his cabinet today (Tuesday) ahead of May 29, when he will be sworn-in as President for another term of four years.

The expectations heightened as Buhari, earlier in the day, presided over a valedictory session of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) which held inside the council chamber of State House Presidential Villa, Abuja.

However, in a tweet on the official Twitter handle of the Presidency, Buhari said, “I expect all the Ministers to continue working until Tuesday May 28 when they will hand over their schedules to their Permanent Secretaries.”
