VENEZUELA: Protesters block roads with motorcycles, bikes and horsebacks
Mass rallies against President Nicolas Maduro’s handling of the economic and political crisis continue in Venezuela with demonstrators blocking access roads with motorcycles, bikes and horseback’s across the country.
The protests were the latest in more than a month of unrest sparked by the country’s deepening political and economic crisis.
“You have to keep finding ways to protest,” Rafael Galvis, 46, told newsmen as he drove a truck carrying a dozen protesters waving the red, blue and yellow Venezuelan flag and banners with slogans criticising Maduro.
“We are going to stay in the street, building a way out of the crisis,” opposition politician Freddy Guevara said at Saturday’s Caracas rally.

Only yesterday, grandparents joined the protests amid worsening economic crisis which has hit the South American country.
Elderly people who have been particularly affected by the crisis in the health system were seen throwing punches and demanding respect from police who in turn blocked access to a main road in the capital of Caracas and used pepper spray to try to control the crowd.
In the last one month, violent clashes between supporters of the opposition and President Maduro have hit Venezuela with the opposition asking Maduro to step down, accusing him of eroding democracy.
