Veteran actress Bukky Ajayi dies at 82

The Nigerian movie industry has been thrown into another round of mourning following the death of veteran actress Bukky Ajayi.

The 82-year-old thespian gave up the ghost today (Wednesday) but details about the demise of the actress who last made public appearance at the AMVCA awards still remains sketchy.

Reports say the actress who first made national prominence when she appeared in the now rested TV series ‘Village Headmaster’ and ‘Checkmate’ will be buried today at Atan Cemetery after her body leaves her residence at 20, Alawode Street, Surulere, Masha beside Kilo Hotel.

Bukky Ajayi also featured in Nollywood movies such as ‘Thunderbolt’, ‘Mother of George’, ‘Indecent Girl’, ‘Diamond Ring’ and Witches among many other movies.
