The 20-year-old opened his account on his debut, scoring twice to give Lille a 2-1 victory over Nantes in their season opener.

He did not score in their 1-0 defeat at Amiens on matchday two, but found his scoring touch again against Saint-Etienne.

Osimhen did not make the starting line up as he was brought on for the injured Loic Remy, who was taken off in the 17th minute.

Osimhen went on to open the scoring, punishing the defence of visiting Saint-Etienne, after he was set up by Domagoj Bradaric.

Jonathan Bamba added the second goal for Lille from the spot in the 69th minute, before Osimhen scored his second of the game 16 minutes from time following a pass from Mehmet Zeki.

Lille will face Reims on Sunday in their next Ligue 1 clash.
