Ighalo: We can stop the Pharaohs

In from Nifemi Daniel. . .
Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has warned top clubs to stay off Odion Ighalo.
The Nigerian striker who has scored five goals in eight Premier League appearances also scored in the Super Eagles’ emphatic 3-0 friendly win against Cameroon in Brussels.
Flores who hailed Odion for rejecting a £12million switch to play for Chinese club, Hebei China Fortune, is not worried about the tempting offers from rich clubs.
“Odion had the chance to go out in the summer, but he decided to stay here and that was an amazing decision.
“When a player does well, it is normal that his value changes, but now we think of Ighalo as one of our most important players because he is very happy and he can play in different positions.

“I’m not scared about losing Ighalo, no way. I’m very happy with him and I’m not even thinking about what might happen in the winter market.”
Watford face title contenders Arsenal Saturday with Flores joining the chorus of approval that his opposite number Arsene Wenger has lasted 19 years with the Gunners.
He said: “This is the first time I have faced a team coached by Arsene, and of course I have a high regard for him.
“What Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson have achieved in England, by staying for so long at one club, is very difficult to match in other countries.
“Would they be given the same amount of time to work at one club in Spain? We live in a different culture, we work with a different philosophy. Sometimes we don’t wait until the end of the season to change in Spain”, he said.
