The authorities of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) on Sunday dismissed reports that the institution’s Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Isiaka Aransi, had tested positive for Coronavirus.

The university Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Olarewaju, said in a statement there were no symptoms of the virus anywhere on the campus.

A report had claimed that the Dean tested positive for the virus on Sunday.

However, the OAU spokesman had dismissed the report as a figment of the author’s imagination.

He said, “It is satanic, unheard of and immoral to claim that Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Isiaka Aransi of our university has challenged.

“Let it be known to the general public that there are no symptoms of a case of Coronavirus on the OAU campus. We are investigating those behind the story and we shall react appropriately
