We said it, ‘Buhari is clueless’ – PDP

For owning up on the parlous state of the Nigerian economy, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has branded the Muhammadu Buhari ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as clueless.

Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha had on Monday in Abuja, after Progressives Governor Forum (PGF) meeting with President Buhari, said the APC government was responsible for everything happening in Nigeria.

“We must take responsibility and we must never shift the responsibility to anybody. As APC, we are responsible for everything happening in Nigeria. We are responsible for the good, the bad, the ugly but we are promising Nigerians that we shall fix it,” Okorocha had said.

However, for the PDP, the open acceptance by the APC of being responsible for the economic woes the country has found itself in vindicated its earlier position that the President Buhari administration is clueless and lacked focus in providing good governance to Nigerians.

PDP stated this in a statement it released on Tuesday in Abuja by its spokesperson, Dayo Adeyeye, urging APC to also “accept responsibility for deceiving Nigerians and the world at large that previous PDP administration achieved nothing in the economy, infrastructure and policies in 16 years”.

Part of the statement said, “The open acceptance of responsibility regarding the economic misfortune caused by the All Progressive Congress-led Federal Government has once again, vindicated our earlier position that the Buhari Administration is clueless and lack focus in providing good governance to Nigerians.”

“We hope that the recent acceptance by the party for the economic downturn in the country was not as a result of the International Monetary Fund affirmation that Nigeria’s economy is the largest in Africa based on previous achievements of the past PDP-led administration.

“For the umpteenth time, let us reiterate that the PDP’s achievements cannot be wished away.”

The party therefore urged the present administration to declare an emergency on the economy bring in knowledgeable hands to help resuscitate it.

PDP should be ashamed of themselves calling APC cluless. they wreck our economy with big money they stole via corruption and yet they are muttering out rubbish.

I agree with the PDP that APC are cluless and directionless. since Buhari has requested the National Assembly to okay his wish to borrow money to finance recurrent expenditures, then I fully knew they (APC) are cluless and brainless.

The APC are indeed clueless. they make empty promises and blame their failures on everybody but themselves. every height we’ve attained in this country was under the PDP administration

APC’s administration is the most fair of all. They have made different promises, but they never knew they’d be coming to fix an empty country. If the problems at hand are not solved, APC cannot start working on their campaign promises. Nigerians need to calm down

PDP for the first time in almost two years, said something reasonable. PDP’s administration was corrupt, but Nigerians didn’t suffer, our economy didn’t enter recession mode. APC’s administration that isn’t corrupt has brought suffering upon suffering to the land, this shows they are clueless
