Fresh headache for Wike, Ganduje as PPP asks tribunal nullify their elections

The governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike has vowed to battle all forms of cultism in some parts of the State to a standstill even if it means taking the battle to the doorsteps of those that sponsor cult-related killings.

Wike made the pledge while speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt after a host of Traditional Rulers paid him a congratulatory visit on his re-election as governor of the state.

The governor who used the opportunity to appeal to the State Council of Traditional Rulers to support his administration in the fight against cultism also informed that he met with the State Security Council on Sunday night and that modalities were being worked as to how to rid the state of cult-related killings.

He said: “We will not allow these cultists who want to paint the state black to continue to cause mayhem.

“We will take the fight to them. Enough is enough. These people cannot continue to kill our people.

“I am a total, unrepentant Rivers Man. I will continue to jealously Guard the interest of the state.”
