Wealthy Republicans dump Trump, campaign for Clinton

Trump denies meeting Secret Service over Clinton’s assassination comments
In a move seen as a slap in the face of mouthy estate mogul turned politician, Donald Trump, wealthy Republicans who are unhappy with their presidential nominee are now courting their prominent peers to join them in backing Democrat, Hillary Clinton’s U.S. presidential bid.
The aggrieved Republicans are seeking money and endorsements from other Republicans disillusioned by Trump who will lead their party in the presidential elections scheduled for November 8.
“I made the decision that I wouldn’t be able to look at my grand kids if I voted for Trump,” said Dan Webb, a former federal prosecutor and a self-described “Republican for decades” working to win over prominent Republican business people in Chicago.
Inflammatory statements about women, Mexicans, Muslims and war veterans, among others by Trump, have made most Republican donors uneasy prompting a shift of support.
