West Ham coach denies €11m clause on Emenike

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has denied a €11 million clause in the contract to sign on-loan Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike on a permanent deal.

Bilic also denounced the speculation that the former Super Eagles striker’s future is tied to making 10 Premier League appearances.

“It is absurd we would never have agreed to such a clause and that the club has no obligation to sign him,” Bilic told Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik Bilic

He also revealed that the club will make a decision on the future of Emenike at the end of the season.

“Everything will become clear at the end of the season,” he added.

West Ham will hold talks with Fenerbahce and Emenike regarding signing the striker on a permanent transfer at the end of season.

“We will hold talks with Emenike and Fenerbahce at the end of the season but it is too early to say if he will stay or not it also depends on the money being asked,” he said.

Emenike has two goals in all competitions for the Hammers since joining over the winter transfer window.
