What does Falana want?

By Joseph Edgar . . .
Let me come out very strongly and say categorically that Chief Falana is just rabble rousing in this his new mission of bringing down the highly respected Ngozi Okonjo Iweala. I have read all the exchanges and have decided to jump out from the fence to take a position.

If this is not cowardice why is he narrowing down his anti corruption activism to just Ngozi who was but a mere Minister saddled with the task of executing decisions taken at the highest level of government. Why is he not taking aim at Jonathan who was the Commander in Chief and who has not in any way said he was not ready to answer any queries directed at him from any quarter.
To me, this is nothing more than what we used to call ‘follow, follow’. You see this is a season of anomie, everything Jonathan is evil. Nothing good ever came out of that government and as such everybody associated with that government must be pulled down. The race is on to see who can do the most damage to Jonathan’s legacy hence this childish assault by the veteran activist on Okonjo Iweala.

I have read all the allegations and responses from both parties and feel that chief Falana should allow his petition to be processed by the EFCC rather than prosecute and judge from the pages of the newspapers. This is another Oshiomole saga. That one shouted himself hoarse on this Ngozi matter and has finally calmed down only for this baba to start shouting his own. It’s almost as if to get relevance you must jump on the kill Ngozi bandwagon.
If she has done something wrong why not prosecute her, why not go through the processes of which the great SAN is so conversant with instead of going into a massive media war. I am really struggling not to throw some very narrow and parochial reasons like ethnicity and gender as the main reason for this frontal assault.
What did she really do wrong. She obeyed instructions just the same way the Governor of the CBN obeyed and yet that one is still on seat playing with our exchange rate. Or did she physically go to the CBN to move the funds. Why is he not asking the CBN governor about his role in the whole matter.

Please people who have pass their prime should learn how to go sit under the nearest Mango tree and play ‘Ayo’ instead of distracting us from the unusual change we are seeing.

To erase any doubt as to my position, I think Chief Femi Falana should look for another project to handle, this is dead on arrival.

My two pence
