Ighalo happy Eagles avoided Brazil, Germany in World Cup draw

Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo has wished his former club, Watford good luck as they face English champions, Manchester City in today’s FA Cup final.

The Cup final scheduled to hold at Wembley Stadium will see Watford face a herculean task in their quest to win their first ever FA Cup.

Their last FA Cup final appearance was in 1984, when they lost 2-0 to Everton, and they seek to go a step further against City.

It is worthy of note that Watford have lost their last 10 matches against Manchester City in all competitions, but it is a Cup final and anything can happen.

“FA Cup final today. Big game for @WatfordFC. I’m excited and nervous at the same time but whatever the outcome of the game today, you lads have done well and deserve everything. GOOD LUCK guys????,”Ighalo, who currently plies his trade in China, tweeted on Saturday morning.

Ighalo’s international teammate, Isaac Success is expected to play a part for Watford in the game.

Meanwhile, Manchester City, who have already won the Premier League and Carabao Cup, can claim a historic domestic treble if they avoid an upset from their opponents.

City could become the first men’s team to win the English domestic treble.

If the Hornets win a first ever FA Cup, they will earn a place in next season’s Europa League, and it would also be the biggest shock in a final since Wigan beat City 1-0 in 2013.
