Wike sacks his Commissioner for Power less than a month to dissolving cabinet
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has sacked hia Commissioner for Power, Shedrach Chukwu.
This was revealed in a statement on Monday evening by the Governor’s Special Assistant on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu.
Wike directed the sacked commissioner to submit all government documents and property in his possession to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Power.
This is coming barely 24hours after he recalled 12 Local Government Council Chairmen suspended by his Administration.

In a statement on Sunday night by his Special Assistant Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, the governor recalled the councillors with immediate effect
Those affected are chairmen of Okrika, Emohua, Abua/Odual, Degema, Khana, Gokana, Ahoada East, Ikwerre, Eleme, Andoni, Omuma and Ogu/Bolo Local Government Areas.
They were suspended three weeks ago for “security reasons”.
Wike had premised the suspension on Section 64 (3) of the Rivers State Local Government Law No. 5 of 2018
