Wike’s unity list tears PDP apart, new faction emerges
The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may be in for another crisis as Governor Nyesom Wike’s unity list during the party’s recent national convention has led to the emergence of a new faction of the party.
A group of five men on Wednesday in Abuja announced the “opening” of a new secretariat of the party located at Asokoro District of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), which has two flags of the party in fron of the building.
Recall that the national headquarters of the PDP that is recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is located at Wuse, Zone 5, Abuja.

The leader of the group, Prince Obi Nwosu, said that the faction emerged following the imposition of a unity list on members onat the December 9 national convention of the party.
Other members of the group aside Nwosu are, Alhaji Hassan Adamu, Chief Olusola Akindele, Chief Godwin Duru and Franklyne Edede.
Nwosu, added that his group would announce members of its National Working Committee (NWC) in January.
