Will Sen. Aisha Alhassan emerge Naija’s 1st female gov?
Unconfirmed reports say that the APC governorship candidate in Taraba State, Sen Aisha Jummai Alhassan is leading in five local government areas of in the state.
So far, the PDP candidate, Darius Dickson Ishaku has been confirmed to be leading from total results of four local government areas that have come in, namely;
Zing local government area, APC 5,224 PDP 28,005
Lau local government area, APC 13,094 PDP 20,595
Ardo Kola local government area, APC 13,042 PDP 14,041
Jalingo local government area, APC 37,914 PDP 19,047
The unconfirmed reports said that Alhassan is leading in Jailing, Wukari, Saduna, Dutse and one other.
The source said that Aisha Jummai Alhassan could win the election and be the first female governor if she polled the majority of votes in these five LGs since they are the areas that determine who wins the election in the state due to population.
