Wolves reach FA Cup semis after beating Man Utd 2-1

Wolverhampton Wanderers have sealed their place in the semifinal of the English FA Cup after they defeated Manchester United 2-1 on Saturday.

Wolves put in a superb performance to beat a lacklustre Manchester United, who came from a 2-0 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League last weekend.

After a goalless first half, the hosts got into the lead 20 minutes from time when Mexico striker Raul Jimenez turned home a loose ball.

Diogo Jota scored a sublime goal to double their lead in the 76th minute, before Marcus Rashford pulled a consolation in the 95th minute.

For Wolves, the victory meant they were reaching their first FA Cup semi-final in 21 years.

They join Manchester City, who defeated Swansea, and Watford, who beat Crystal Palace, earlier on Saturday, in the last four.

The final spot will be up for grabs on Sunday when Millwall host Brighton.
