Woman allegedly swindles magistrate by disguising as Police officer

A 54-year-old woman, Olabisi Olawoye, who allegedly disguised as a Police officer on Friday appeared in Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

‘’The defendant committed the offence in the month of August 2018 at Magistrates’ Court 1, Ogba, Lagos’’ Prosecutor, Insp. Kehinde Omisakin, told the court.

She added that the defendant had disguised as a Police officer attached to the Surveillance Section, State CID, Panti, in a bid to dupe Chief Magistrate Yewande Aje.

It was gathered that the defendant who was brought before the court on a charge of impersonation, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs A.O. Komolafe, however, admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N100,000 and fixed the case till June 6, for further hearing.
