Woman's head chopped off in Kano for blasphemy
Incoming reports claim that an elderly woman has had her head chopped off in Kano by an angry mob over suspected blasphemous comments on the Prophet Mohammed at a textile market in the heart of the Northern city.
Reports say the mob carried out the jungle justice at Kofar Wambai market by Yan’roba when activities at the textile market were at it’s peak.
The woman whose identity is yet to be ascertained was said to have been involved in an argument with another woman, who’s identity was also yet to be ascertained when she made comments about the Prophet that drew attention of passerby.

Those in the market said the woman who traded in plastics is not a member of any of the unions, hence her identity remains unknown, but that she was with her husband as at the time of the incidence.
They stated that her husband was however helpless in holding back the mob that descended on her, slitting her throat, and severing her head.
The action by the mob was said to have scared shop owners at the textile market who hurriedly closed their businesses in fear of a possible escalation.
Spokesperson for the police in Kano,  Musa Magaji Majia, confirmed the incident, adding, that some arrests have been made, as investigations continue.
