The committee was inaugurated recently by the Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the PDP, to work out means and make recommendations on how the PDP can wrest power from the APC.

“On the progress of the alliance, I would not like to give details of what is being recommended. But the PDP is desirous of attracting all the lovers of democracy across the country as we move forward.

“On the issue of mega party, we are not yet aware of PDP’s involvement but all we can say is that the party wants to relate with the lovers of democracy in all the parties.

“We have a syndicate committee which is chaired by a former Deputy President of the Senate, Ibrahim Mantu. They are to give us the guidelines for any realignment plan and the number of parties that are willing to join us. Our engagement will be based on principles and clear guidelines,” Gana said.

He went further to say, “But that does not mean we would do anything that would make us to degenerate into what is happening to the ruling APC.
