XENOPHOBIC ATTACKS: Sports Minister, Dare, advises South African govt

Nigeria’s Sports Minister, Sunday Dare has reacted to the recent Xenophobic attacks in South Africa, advising the South African government to stem the situation before it is too late.

Videos had gone viral on Monday of widespread attacks on Nigerians and their businesses in South Africa, with three persons confirmed killed.

Dare, who was recently appointed to head the nation’s Sports, says the attacks on Nigerians are unacceptable and condemnable.

The Minister termed the attacks a whirlwind that needed to be stemmed before the government would have itself to blame

“The most recent xenophobic attack on Nigerians is unacceptable and condemnable,” Dare tweeted.

“These attacks now a routine expose the ugly underbelly of the South African system.

“The South Govt better stem this whirlwind now or it will have itself to blame.”
