Team Nigeria beat Team World as Yobo bows out

Former Super Eagles skipper, Joseph Yobo, has signed for Kano Pillars.

The deal, which makes him an ambassador of the League Management Company (LMC), will see him feature in the domestic league as a way of promoting and adding value to the competition.

Yobo, who starred in Everton defence for 10 years between 2002 and 2012, was released by Fenerbache in 2014 after an unsuccessful loan spell with Norwich in the Premier League.

The 35-year-old, who has retired from international football, would be playing club football after two years of leaving Fenerbahce.

Kano Pliiars will be the fifth club and country that the 101-time capped international will have plied his trade in after he broke through in Belgium before spells in England, France and Turkey.
