Zaha nets first int'l goal as Ivory Coast thump Uganda 3-0

Ivory Coast forward Wilfried Zaha has accused Manchester United and Liverpool fans of calling him “a black monkey”.

The Crystal Palace winger who spent a single season at Old Trafford in 2013-14, made the claim via an Instagram post on Saturday.

“If Man United and Liverpool fans feel better by calling me a black monkey in my messages .. feel free to carry on if it makes your day better,” he wrote.

The 24-year old didn’t go into any more details and did not identify any of the accused.

The post came after Crystal Palace played against West Brom in the Premier League Asia Trophy, a game in which manager Frank de Boer claimed the Baggies were targeting Zaha for rough treatment and accused them of deliberately trying to injure his player.

Palace defeated West Brom 2-0 to win third place in the preseason tournament.
