Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane has expressed his delight at Gareth Bale’s performance during their 3-1 victory at Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

Bale, who was making a return to Madrid’s starting XI, scored the opener and also grabbed an assist as Los Blancos maintained their 100% start to their Champions League campaign.

“I hope there are more turning points for him (Bale),” Zidane said after the game.

“We found Gareth in a very good way. The important thing is that he scored a goal. I’m happy for him and Cristiano.

“I get the feeling that each time he plays, we’re seeing him with the legs he had before.

“I’m happy because it hasn’t been easy for him. When you see Cristiano and Gareth playing this way, it makes you happy.

“They played very well. When you see Bale score a goal like that, It’s amazing for him.”

It was Real’s first-ever victory at Signal Iduna Park, and Zidane described the win as an important one.

“We’d never won here, and the result was important.

“We had more chances, but ultimately it was a very good result at a very difficult place to play,” the Frenchman said.

Bale surprised me too, I never knew he could be in form to perform wonderfully, it’s no doubt that Real Madrid owns this season UEFA Champions League Cup
