Iwobi scores late equalizer as Arsenal beat Bayern
Nigeria international, Alex Iwobi, was at the rescue as Arsenal beat Bayern Munich at the International Champions Cup in China on Wednesday.
Bayern were almost heading to victory after taking a 1-0 lead from the penalty spot in the ninth minute through Robert Lewandowski, but were stunned by the Gunners.
The penalty was awarded to Beyern following a foul on Bernat by Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the 9th minute.
The scoreline remained in the Bundesliga giants’ favour throughout the first half and almost till the end of the game.

But at stoppage time, Iwobi, who was completely unmarked, got on the end of Aaron Ramsey’s cross to nod Arsenal level.
The match ended 1-1 in regulation time and led to a penalty shootout, which Arsenal won 4-3.
Iwobi started off from the bench before coming on for Mesut Ozil, and he also scored to put Arsenal 4-3 ahead in the penalties before Emiliano Martinez saved Juan Bernat’s kick to give the Gunners the win.
