The draw for the next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will no longer hold this month as initially planned.

This is coming after Africa’s football governing body, CAF announced the postponement of the draw in an official statement on Sunday.

The draw was scheduled for June 25 in Yaounde, the capital city of Cameroon, where the tournament will be holding next year.

In the statement, CAF said the postponement was due to “logistical reasons related to the Covid-19 pandemic” and that a new date would be announced in due course.
