Agitation across Nigeria will continue unless.… --Fayose

Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has said that nothing is going to resolve the present agitation across the country except there is justice, equity and fairness.

This was even as he called on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency begin the process of restructuring the country, which he said is the panacea to the present and persistent challenges threatening the continuous existence of Nigeria as one.

Fayose’s position is coming despite Acting President Yemi Osinbajo’s consultative meetings with leaders of northern and South-East regions of Nigeria following tensions created by agitation for Biafra by Igbo groups and a quit notice by Arewa youths for all Igbo leaving in the North to vacate the region on or before October 1.

The Ekiti State Governor made his position known when he addressed his supporters who trouped out on Wednesday to celebrate his electoral victory as the governor of the state for a second time.

“No peace without justice and the agitation across the country will continue unless there is justice, equity and fairness,” he said.

Speaking on the 2018 coming governorship election in the state, Fayose boasted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will again be roundly defeated.

He said, “Today, I am here to appreciate all of you and remind you that they said that the 16-0 of 2014 was photochromic and later militarized election. This time, they are the owners of INEC, Army, Police, Civil Defense, DSS and others; we should make it expressly clear that despite these machineries in their hands, we can defeat them like we did in 2014, if not more.”

Fayose went further to assure the people that he will do his best to make Ekiti a better place for all, adding that “by the grace of God, I will not leave this state a debtor of salary.”

The governor urged Nigerians as well as the international community to pay greater attention to Ekiti State in regard to activities before, during and after the 2018 governorship election, saying; “The 2018 election in Ekiti is one election that everyone should be interested in. The whole world should monitor events before, during and after the election and let whoever that will win the election win in a free and fair atmosphere.

“Currently, I am in court to seek redress for the coup-de-tat of 2006 by the declaration of State of Emergency by the civilian junta of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. It is my belief that the court that granted me the relief that the impeachment was a nullity will equally restore justice by establishing the fact that I deserve another tenure.

“Nevertheless, whether the continuity is by Ayo Fayose or any member of his political family, it is still continuity, which I have asked you to support.”

If fayose is against the unity of this country by calling for restructuring which in one way or the other is aiding the movement of Biafra, then he should be arrested . He is such a lousy governor.

Keep shut, celebrate your vibrant leader, an upholder of true federalism. You yorubas don’t value what you have . Fayose should be your hero because he fights for you people.

What nonsense are you saying? The reasonable Yoruba people know that Fayose is torn in their flesh . I think they should recall him also so he can stop ranting nonsense

Fayose will say one good thing and spoil it with two bad things, having called on the president to urgently address the issue of justice, equity and fairness, which one is by God’s grace he won’t leave Ekiti state a debtor of salary again? This man sha

That show’s that fayose is a wicked man because he knows is not worthy of being the president. A man who can not rule a state cannot rule a country

I so much admire Fayose’s leadership skills and how he’s always following the federal government’s activities, in confident that if he should become Nigeria’s president, the country will be a better place.

    • Mr Septin911 – Lagos State, Nigeria – I'm not as complicated as you thing, equally not as easy as you've imagined. Huh? Yeah, Don't get it twisted.

You will be the first to bite all your fingers if Fayose gets voted in as President of Nigeria, you need to go to Ekiti to see how his people are suffering. Forget everything he says on the news, he’s not half of the good things in reality.
