ALLEGED N5.8bn NEMA FRAUD: Osinbajo has questions to answer, Reps insist

House of Representatives Committee on Emergency and Disaster Preparedness on Tuesday insisted that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has questions to answer over an alleged N5.8 billion fraud.

The Reps committee had last week in its report on probe into the “emergency intervention of food securi,ty to the North- East ” in June 2017, accused Osinbajo of illegality in the approval of the fund while Acting as President in 2017.

Osinbajo had however denied the allegation and claimed that
due processes were followed.

But the chairman of the Reps ad hoc committee, Ali Isa (APC, Gombe State), told newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday that Osinbajo, being the chairman of the presidential programme and the one who issued directives leading to the release of funds still “has questions to answer”, on the alleged fraud.
