Black box of ill-fated Russian military plane found

The black box of the Russian military plane carrying 92 people, including dozens of Red Army Choir singers, dancers and orchestra members, which crashed into the Black Sea, has been found.

According to the TASS news agency citing a law enforcement source, the black box was found in the wreckage of the plane which was on its way to Syria before it plunged into the Black Sea.

The source said the box, which contains flight information that could help identify the cause of the crash, would be sent to Moscow for analysis.

Investigators have so far said that pilot error or a technical fault were likely to have caused the Defence Ministry TU-154 to come down, ruling out the possibility of a terrorist attack.
