Goniambari village is about 80 killometres from the Borno State capital, Maiduguri.

It would be recalled that the Boko Haram insurgents has stepped up their attacks in recent days, attacking both Chibok in Borno State and Gombi in Adamawa State, where suicide bombers killed scores of people while a deadly attack was carried out in Dalori on the fringes of Maiduguri, where reports say almost 100 people died.
