Boko Haram on Monday killed seven persons in Borno.

The attack was said to have happened in the morning at Jere Local Government Area.

The terrorists, whom it was learnt, stormed Wulari Bulama-Isa village behind Bakassi IDP camp near Maiduguri at about 2 am while Moslems were observing Subhi prayer, slaughtered seven, injured two others critically, and also made away with foodstuff from the villagers.

It was learnt that the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) members were among those killed in the attack by the insurgent group.

An eyewitness report claimed the attack was selective and that the terrorist slit the throats of their victims.

Efforts by the Nigerian government to end attacks by the insurgents continue to face stiff resistance by the insurgents who have continued to attack military bases and villages in the North East.

These attacks have continued despite claims by the government and the military that the group has been “technically defeated”.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesman, Garba Shehu, just this Monday, said he was not sure the insurgent group will ever be eradicated.
