BON founder set to take Doboxtv to court

By Ahmed Boulor

The founder of the Best of Nollywood (BON) awards Seun Oloketuyi has revealed that his lawyer is set to sue Doboxtv owned by Gafar Williams to court for selling three of his movie trailers on their platform without his permission.
Seun also raised an alarm over the activities of Doboxtv which sells movie trailers of others producers apparently without permission for N15 to MTN users and N20 to Etisalat users with data charges applying for other network users.

According to Seun who made the threat on his Instagram page, all attempts to reach Gafar, the owner of Doboxtv and his partner Anthonio Okojevoh have proved abortive, leaving him with the option of filing a lawsuit.
In his post, Seun also noted that intellectual property infringement and theft should not be encouraged and monetizing a film trailer without the consent of the producer is a crime.
