It’s time to take Nigeria from incompetent leaders with military, political baggage —Sowore

Policemen and soldiers on Wednesday morning laid siege to the office of an online news platform, SaharaReporters in Lagos state.

Detained presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) and organizer of the recently thwarted #Revolutionnow campaign, Omoyele Sowore is the publisher of Sahara reporters.
It was gathered that the security operatives who were armed prevented people from gaining access to the building located in the GRA area of Ikeja, while demanding those inside the building to come out.

According to SaharaReporters, the security operatives came in three vehicles and stationed themselves in front of the office.

The news platform claimed that the security operatives were shouting, “Open the gate! Come outside”, while the operatives banged the gate.

The publisher of the news platform, Omoyele Sowore, had been in the custody of the Department of State Service since August when he was arrested at a Lagos hotel.

He was arrested for calling for a nationwide protest, tagged #RevolutionNow.

It was gathered that another protest had been scheduled for Wednesday (today) and SaharaReporters had claimed this as the reason for the presence of the security operatives.
