Champions League: Madrid look dangerous at the moment –Wenger

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, while encouraging his team to prove they can compete with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona when they face Paris Saint-Germain, has admitted that Spanish giant Real Madrid is the most dangerous side at the moment.

The Arsenal boss has been impressed with his side’s performances in the competition this season and is hopeful they can top Group A ahead of PSG, when they play host to the French club on Wednesday at Emirate Stadium.

“I feel that [English clubs are closer], yes,” he said.

“Look at Man City winning against Barcelona. We have an opportunity to show it against Paris Saint-Germain.

“I must say that I watched Real Madrid against Atletico Madrid on Saturday and I was impressed by them. They looked, at the moment, to be the most dangerous side,” Wenger added.

The Gunners will welcome PSG to the Emirates on Wednesday. However, the two sides are level on points and both have already qualified for the next round of the Champions League.
