The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammad Musa Bello, on Sunday warned civil servants living in Nasarawa and Niger States but working in the nation’s capital not to resume work until further notice.

In an updated list of guidelines on the relaxation of the COVID-19 lockdown signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Anthony Ogunleye, the minister directed all workers living outside the FCT to remain in their respective states of residence until the ban on interstate travel is lifted.

He, however, said those on essential duties are not affected by the directive.

Bello added that the ban on commercial motorcyclists from operating within the city well as Kubwa and Dutse-Alhaji remain in force.

He said the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) would rigorously enforce the guidelines regulating the relaxation of the lockdown in the FCT as part of measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The minister stressed that security agencies have been mandated to arrest and prosecute anyone violating the guidelines.
