D’Tigress begin AfroBasket title defence with big win against Tunisia

Nigeria Women’s Basketball team, D’Tigress have kicked off their 2019 AfroBasket campaign in Dakar with victory over Tunisia.

The defending champions got off a fine start by taking the first half 40-9, before concluding the game with 75-26 as final scoreline.

Evelyn Akhator led the way with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists as Nigeria maintained their unbeaten run, extending it to nine games in AfroBasket.

D’Tigress will go again on Tuesday when they face Cameroon in their second match at the competition.
