E-Money switches to face saving mode, says his degree not from UNILAG as he earlier claimed

Emeka Okonkwo popularly known as E-Money in music circles is claiming that he received the Honorary Doctorate from the European-American University and not the University of Lagos as earlier claimed by him in a development seen by critics as a face saving move.

That much information was revealed in a new post on the official Instagram handle of Five Star Music which stated that E-Money received the Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business Management and Corporate Governance from the school and not UNILAG as earlier claimed.

The post by Five Star Music reads thus; “Congratulations to our chairman on his amazing achievement / Award Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business Management and Corporate Governance from the European-American University. Many more blessings and more grace as you go on @iam_emoney1 @iam_mrse @iam_kcee .. #itistoolatetofail”

The development comes days after the UNILAG authorities denied E-Money’s earlier claim in a statement, listing the personalities who were conferred with honorary awards by the Chancellor of the University with the name of the label owner conspicuously missing.

The statement by UNILAG also called on the public to disregard any list other than the personalities mentioned as the only people who were conferred with the awards, noting that any story stating otherwise is false and should be amended accordingly.
