Engineer crushed after being sucked into plane engine

Officials of Air India are currently mourning the demise of one of their engineers after he was sucked into the engine of one of its planes.
Anil Mehta, an Air India official who witnessed the incident said; “The engineer, Ravi Subramanian, was standing near the landing gear under the plane’s nose as he supervised a routine on check one of the company’s fleet.

Before the unfortunate incident, passengers had already boarded the plane which was heading to the Indian city of Hyderabad and it wasn’t clear if any of them saw what happened.
As at the time of filing in this report, there were no further details given by Air India officials concerning the engineers death as information made available say the country’s civil aviation regulator is investigating the incident.
