Falcons drop in FIFA ranking

Falcons to face Gambia in 2018 AWCON qualifiers

Nigeria’s women national team, Super Falcons slipped one spot in the latest FIFA women’s world ranking released on Friday.

The reigning African Women champions were placed on 38th position in the world (from 37th last December).

They however retained their number one spot in the continent, ahead of Ghana, Cameroon, South Africa and Equatorial Guinea in that order in the first five.

The sixth to tenth position in Africa include Ivory coast, Morocco, Egypt, Senegal and Mali respectively.

In the world ranking, the USA remain on number one spot, followed by England, Germany, Canada and France in that order.
