Fani-Kayode demands arrest, prosecution of Senator Abbo for assault on lady

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has called for the arrest and prosecution of Senator Elisha Abbo, for assaulting a yet-to-be identified lady after a heated face-off.

The Senator representing Adamawa North District in the National Assembly was seen assaulting the lady in a video of the incident, and even ordered his police orderly to arrest the lady in question.

Reports say trouble started when Senator Abbo had accused the lady of taking sides with the seller of sex toys, who accused him of being a drunkard in an incident which reportedly occurred before the inauguration of the ninth National Assembly.

Reacting to the said video on his Facebook page, Fani-Kayode, who condemned the action of the federal lawmaker, urged the young lady to seek justice by suing the Senator.

He wrote on Facebook, “utterly barbaric and shameful behaviour from Senator Elisha Ishaku Abbo, the youngest member of the Senate. This is unacceptable and something needs to be done about it.

“I call for his arrest and prosecution for assault and battery. I advise the young lady that was beaten to sue him!”
