Fear as gunshots rocks Paris suburb

In what French media said was a police raid, residents of Saint-Denis, a suburb of northern Paris, experienced moments of reported gunfire which sent cold shivers down the spines of those living within the vicinity.

The incident which started at 4:30am on Wednesday, saw French police telling bystanders to move away from the vicinity residents said on social media.

Reports say sporadic shots ceased after 15 minutes and then resumed at 5 am local time.

As at the time of filing in this report, it was not clear whether the shooting incident was related to investigations into the gruesome deadly attack in Paris by ISIS last Friday.
